Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly and efficient customer support via email in English and Urdu to WhatsApp users around the world
  • Troubleshoot user issues and escalate issues / feedback to developers appropriately
  • Be an advocate for the user base you support and a voice of the user to the rest of the company
  • Continually learn how WhatsApp works on different smartphone operating systems and what features are available on each platform
  • Evaluate the organization of your workflow to find new issues in the support queues and improved ways of handling existing issues
  • Translate the WhatsApp application and all supporting content into Urdu

Experience

  • Have a strong knowledge of the Pakistan region and culture, 4 plus years of recent in country experience is a plus
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent university degree
  • 1+ years of customer service experience
  • Ability to use and learn the iOS, Android, and Windows Phone operating systems
  • Proactive and motivated - you constantly look for solutions to problems and evaluate ways to be more efficient and effective
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities without getting overwhelmed
  • Utility player - we are a team that thrives on people identifying ways they can contribute to get the job done, and how their unique backgrounds and strengths can contribute to team goals
  • Strong writing and conversational skills in English and Urdu. You can compose accurate and appropriate answers to help users. If you are a grammar nut, all the better

  • Technical Support background a plus
  • Must be eligible to work in the US

Experience

  • Fluency in Python
  • Strong knowledge of OOP and functional programming techniques

Responsibilities

Experience

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent. MS or PhD is a plus

  • The person in this role would help make VoIP calls reliable over varying devices and networking conditions including high packet loss and high latency
  • The candidate should have a strong understanding of various network protocols used in real time applications and how to interpret observations in field to make improvements to networking components

Experience
